Martinique is summer all year round, only better!

Ahhh, the hours lost in traffic jams, the gloomy weather, the 45 towels per square metre on the Mediterranean beaches, the winter chill that sets in... Living to the rhythm of the seasons, it's definitely something to look forward to... Then there's Martinique. Its 320 days of sunshine a year and crystal-clear beaches where you always feel alone in the world.

We share with you the (very) good reasons to choose Martinique for your vacations:

  • Fine weather and an ideal temperature of around 27 degrees all year round. Mild, constant heat, with no heatwave. The occasional rainstorm never lasts very long.
  • Beaches and diving all to yourself (or almost): you'll have the chance to be face-to-face with the turtles! On the island, between May and October, you can snorkel and enjoy the beaches in complete tranquillity. Yes, it's paradise!
  • A lush, colorful rainforest. The lush rainforest is a veritable mosaic of flowers and exotic plants. It's also a year-round opportunity to sample the fruits and vegetables of Péyi: mangoes, passion fruit, water apples, local apricots and breadfruit, avocados. Yummy!

Culture, the art of meeting people

Martinican culture is a unique blend of Creole, French, African and Indian traditions, resulting from its colonial history and diverse influences. An intense and plural cultural richness illustrated through the beauty of the Creole language, the 1001 flavors of the local cuisine, but also the music, the dance and unforgettable festivities like the carnaval de Martinique or the Tour des Yoles. The island's culture is an explosion of color and joy, reflecting the festive spirit and creativity of its people. Martinique's literature and art, carried by iconic figures such as Aimé Césaire also bear witness to the depth and richness of this unique identity.
